Position Summary
As an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and optimize residential heating and cooling systems. You will work directly with homeowners to provide solutions that improve comfort, safety, and energy efficiency while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, gas, and control system issues.
- Verify proper refrigerant charge using superheat, subcooling, airflow, and manufacturer specifications.
- Clearly communicate repair recommendations and system condition to homeowners.
- Accurately document service calls using company programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle.
- Follow all safety procedures and company installation/service standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
- Build strong customer relationships through honesty, professionalism, and quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-6 years of residential HVAC service experience preferred.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience servicing gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini splits, geo thermal systems and indoor air quality products.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and manufacturer service literature.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions.
- NATE Certification is a plus but not required.
